Awards Day!

OK.....so I knew that today was the Awards Assembly at the kids school. I know because I received MULTIPLE emails informing me of the date and time and specifically explaining that IF your child was going to receive an actual award that I would be notified by email. Though I received the notification of the actual assembly, they FAILED to email me and let me know that Max was going to get an award! So....I didn't go! Yes....I missed it! And he didn't just get one award....wait for it....he got 3!!!! And I missed it!!! Can you say, "Worst mother of the year" award? 

My friend Rachel called me as Max was getting his first award to see if I was at home so I could run down to the school. Of course I was at Costco trying to buy food for Titus' B-Day party this weekend. As we're on the phone she says, "Uhhh....He's getting another one!" "WHAT!?!?!", I yell as I'm freaking out that I'm missing this!!! 

All in all, Max ended up with 3 awards: "Most Improved Student", an "Art Award" and and "Attendance Award." We are SOOOO proud of him! I can't believe he's going to be a second grader next year! Where does the time go?
